Norly’s doctoral research is in the area of public health and human rights. The goal of his work is to propose a system of health-care infrastructure for Haiti to reduce infant and maternal mortality rates, which are the highest in the western hemisphere. Prior to the earthquake in January, Norly was spending seven months (September-March) working on his doctorate in France in Laboratory and five months (April-August) teaching in Haiti in several Universities such as Quisqueya University, Episcopal University. Unfortunately, the schools where he used to teach were collapsed by the earthquake of January 12, 2010.
